Installation

1. Through Dashboard

  • Log in to the WordPress Dashboard/Backend.
  • Go to Appearance > Themes > Add New.
  • Click on the Upload Theme
  • Browse the downloaded zip file of Idolcorp
  • Then Click on Install Now and Activate to install the theme.

2. Manual Installation

  • Download the Idolcorp to your desktop
  • Unzip idolcorp to your Desktop.
  • Using an FTP client to access your host web server. Go to /wp-content/themes/
  • Upload Idolcorp theme to /wp-content/themes/.
  • To activate go to Appearance > Themes and activate Idolcorp theme from Dashboard.

Header Setting

From here you can set up the top header section as in the demo site.

1. Logo Section

Logo Section has can be managed from 2 types. Site Title & tagline and Site Logo

Site Title & Identity

  • Go to Appearance > Customize
  • Then General Settings > Site Identity

Site Logo

    • Go to Appearance > Customize
    • Then General Settings > Site Identity
    • Upload the image for site logo as shown in the screenshot. It will replace the site title & tagline automatically.

2. Social & Contact

    • Go to Appearance > Customize
    • Then Header Settings > Top Header Section
    • Entry the data’s in the input field.

Menu and Search icon

Create menu and choose the enable/disable search icon for the Header Menu section.

Create and Assign Menu for Header section

    • Go to Appearance > Customize.
    • Click on the Menus and Add a Menu
    • Name the menu to “Header Menu” and click on the button Create a Menu

    • After that click on the Add Items and choose pages which you want to add on the menu links and choose the Menu Location to Top primary menu

  • Finally Save & Publish the settings to show the menu in the header menu.
    • Go to Appearance > Customize.
    • Click on the Header Settings and Header Section
    • Tick on the Search Icon Option

  • Don’t forget to click Save & Publish.

Create a Home page as in the demo.

Create Front Page(Home Page)

First of all we need to create a Home page to setup Below sections.

    • To Create a Home page
    • Log in to the WordPress Dashboard/Backend.
    • Go to pages > Add New.
    • Fill the Page title to “Home Page”, Leave content section blank and choose the template to “Home Page”
    • Click on the Publish button.

    • Creating Home page is completed, Now need to choose the “Home Page” as front page
    • Go to Appearance > Customize.
    • Click on the General Settings and Static Front Page
    • Then, Select a “A Static page” and choose the “Home page” on the Front page section.
    • Finally don’t forget to “Save & Publish”

1. Slider Setting

To Create a slider need to create post from the backend and select the category from the customizer.

    • Let’s start to create a category and post for the slider
    • Go to Dashboard
    • Click on the Posts > Categories
    • Input the Category name “Slider” and Slug “slider” and click Add New Category

    • Now go to the Posts > Add New Post
    • And Create a slider post by as shown in the below screenshot

    • For slider recommended image size is : 1350×434 px.
    • Great. You have created category and post both.
    • Then, Go to Appearance > Customize.
    • Click on the Homepage Settings > Slider Settings
    • Choose the slider category to “slider” then “Save & Publish”

  • That’s it. Slider is ready on the front end.

2. Services Setting

Create a services section from here.

    • Same as Slider setup as you did above only need to create a different category for services.
    • Let’s create a category name “services”
    • Choose the service category to “services” then “Save & Publish”
    • For services recommended image size is : 150×150 px.

3. Call To Action

Home page first call to action section setting goes here

    • Go to Appearance > Customize.
    • Click on the Homepage Settings and Call to Action
    • Fill the required sections as shown in the below screenshot
    • For Call to Action recommended image size is : 960×250 px.

4. Our Features Setting

Create a features section from here.

    • Same as services setup as you did above only need to create a different category for features.
    • Let’s create a category name “Our Services” and Slug “our-category”
    • Choose the service category to “our-category” then “Save & Publish”
    • For Features recommended image size is : 720×434 px.

5. Call To Action

This section is for second Call to Action on the home page.

  • Same as First Call to Action setup as you did above.

6. Testimonials

Testimonials setup goes here.

    • Same as services setup as you did above only need to create a different category for testimonials.
    • Let’s create a category name “Testimonials” and Slug “testimonials”
    • Choose the testimonials category to “testimonials” then “Save & Publish”
    • For Features recommended image size is : 100×150 px.

Page Settings

Create a pages as per your needed from here.

Create page

    • Log in to the WordPress Dashboard/Backend.
    • Go to pages > Add New.
    • Fill the Page title, content, featured image(if you want image) and choose a page layout.
    • Then click on the Publish button.

Contact Page

    • Go to pages > Add New.
    • Fill the page title on the Title section
    • Place the contact form shortcode on the content area.
    • Choose the template to “Contact Page”

    • You can use contact form plugin as you like. We have used Contact form 7 plugin for our demo site.
    • For the map on the contact page
    • Go to Appearance > Widgets.
    • Drag the required widget to the “Contact Sidebar” section

  • You can use any map widget or required plugin as you like. We have used “Google Map Widget” plugin for our demo site.

Footer Setup

Setup Footer as in the demo site

Footer Widgets

    • Go to Appearance > Customize.
    • Click on the Widgets

    • Click on the link to add or edit the widget for the footer.
    • Then, click on the Add a Widget buttons and choose desired widgets.

Bottom Footer

Set the footer disclaimer, menu and copyrights from here.

    • To set the footer disclaimer
    • Go to Appearance > Customize.
    • Click on the Footer Settings > Disclaimer Settings
    • Place the Disclaimer title as you want.

    • To set the Footer Copyrights section
    • Go to Appearance > Customize.
    • Click on the Footer Settings > Copyright Settings

    • To set the Footer Menu
    • Go to Appearance > Customize.
    • Click on the Menus
    • Then, Create a menu as shown in the below screenshot

    • Add Items from the pages as you add for the header menu
    • Choose the menu location to “Disclaimer Menu”
    • Then “Save & Publish”
